What is ACCELERATE-STOP DISTANCE?

Length of runway required for an airplane to accelerate to reach the speed for take-off and to be able to stop the airplane in the case of an engine failure. It equals the length of the take-off path plus the length of the stopway.

ACCELERATE-STOP DISTANCE: "Accelerate-stop distance depends on aircraft weight, ambient temperature, altitude of the airfield, and wind."
