What is ALKYLATING DRUG?

An alkylating agent used in cancer treatment. They destroy proliferating cancer cells by adding an alkyl group to DNA molecule and preventing its replication. These drugs exhibit cytotoxic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic effect.
