What is CARBOHYDRATES?

Any member of a large class of chemical compounds that contains starches, sugar, cellulose, and related compounds. These compounds are produced naturally by green plants during photosynthesis. Divided into classes: monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides, monosaccharides, and polysaccharides.
