What is CARBONIC ACID DERIVATIVES?

Depending on the basicity, the acid forms two series of salts. The neutral salts, wherein both hydroxyl groups are replaced and known as carbonates, have the Carbonic Acid anion; and the acid salts, wherein only one hydroxyl group is replaced and are known as bicarbonates, have the Carbonic Acid anion.
