What is CHAIN TRANSFER?

Active chain end termination process which occurs during free radical polymerization by abstraction of a hydrogen atom from a dead-chain initiator or solvent. Perhaps leading to a branched polymer or graft, a new active chain end is created. See chain polymerization.
