Semiconductor apparatus wherein the separate semiconductor elements are linked to ensure the electric charge at the output of one unit delivers the input to the following unit; able to retain and collect electrical charges, can be utilized as memory devices, however are more sluggish as compared to RAMs. Responsive to light; employed as light-detecting elements in video and digital camera models as well as in optical scanners.
