What is L-FORMS?

Morphological variants developed from large bodies by prolonged exposure to various treatments. Consist of colonies of filterable bodies with a cytoplasmic matrix. Frequently revert to the normal form. If blood or serum is supplied in their nutrient medium, may breed true for some generations.
