A test in vivo to reveal the presence of mast cell-sensitizing antibody. Antibody is injected into the skin of an animal. After an interval sufficient for the antibody to become attached, antigen is injected intravenously together with a blue dye which binds to serum albumin. Where the antigen reacts with cell-fixed antibody, histamine and other substances are released which increase vascular permeability, and the dye leaks out to give a blue spot the size of which is proportional to the amount of antibody attached,
