What is PELVIS?

The pelvic girdle or posterior limb girdle of vertebrates, a skeletal frame with which the hind limbs or fins articulate; in mammals, a cavity, just inside the hilum of the kidney, into which the uriniferous tubules discharge and which is drained by the ureter. Adj pelvic.
