What is PER-ACID?

A true per-acid is either formed by the action of hydrogen peroxide on a normal acid, or yields hydrogen peroxide by the action of dilute acids. Organic per-acids are assumed to contain the group -COOOH, eg perbenzoic acid. QH.sCOOOH.
