What is POLYESTER?

Polyester fibres and films are linear polymers which have the ester group -CO-O- repeated along the chain. The commonest polyester fibre is made by the polymerization of ethylene diol and terephthalic acid. Used as a film base having greater mechanical strength and stability than cellulose acetate.
