What is ASYMMETRIC DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER LINE?

A type of data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines by utilizing frequencies that are not used by a voice telephone call. A splitter, allows use of ADSL service and voice (telephone) calls at the same time.
