A viral disease in swine caused by Suid herpesvirus 1 that usually ends up fatally. Other mammals, such as cattle, sheep, goats, cats and dogs are also susceptible. Symptoms of the disease include coughing, sneezing, fever, constipation, seizures, ataxia, excess salivation. Vaccination can alleviate clinical signs in pigs.
