What is CAVITY TRANSFER MIXING?

Trade name for a process of mixing polymers that employs a specially designed head that is fitted to an extrusion output. Head is comprised of a cylinder and loose-fitting rotating core which is attached to the screw. Mated surfaces have several hollows which are hemispherical and whereby the melt is turned frequently , being completely mixed with pigments or other substances. See extrusion.
