What is LOCKED OSCILLATOR DETECTOR?

Form of frequency- modulated FM detector using a pentode valve which incorporates a self-oscillating tuned circuit connected to the suppressor grid. The FM input signal is applied to a resonant tuned circuit which is connected to the control grid. The tuned circuit of the suppressor grid locks to the frequency of the incoming signal and leads to an AF anode current proportional to the FM input; this circuit does not respond to amplitude-modulated signals, including noise, so that a separate limiting stage is unnecessary,
